FAQs

General

District 57 is an immersive, 20,000-square-foot entertainment complex that will transport you to a dystopian 2097.

Access to the common space is free. Come and experience the immersive lobby and even enjoy some of the games for free. However, food, libations, Grid, BorderTown and most games in the common area are not free.

District 57 is a space designed for older teenagers and adults. For safety reasons, children under the age of 10 years old will not be allowed in the facility, even with parents. On Friday and Saturday after 7 pm, all District 57 visitors must be at least 16 years old. Proof of age may be required. Please see FAQ section for Grid and BorderTown for age restrictions for those activities.

Outside food and beverages are not allowed unless prior arrangements have been made. Please call us at 980-207-4400 to discuss.

We do not. Our self-serve bar offers beer, wine, and cider. Our grab and go refrigerator offers seasonal beers, wine, spiked lemondae, and Mighty Swell seltzers.

Patrons who are intoxicated or under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed to enter. This includes patrons who smell like marijuana.

The Grid

Short answer: no, it is not. In the Grid, you have access to up to 30 rooms, each presenting you with a single challenge to complete and very limited time to do what you  need to do. There is nothing to find and not a single lock in sight. If you can’t accomplish a task or simply don’t feel it’s up your alley, walk out and try another one.

Grid can be played by teams of 2 to 5 players. If you have a party of 6 or more, you will need to split up into different teams and make multiple bookings. Call us at 980-207-4400 for assistance if you have a group of 20 or more people.

Grid is designed for adults, teenagers and pre-teens. Children under 10 years old are not allowed in the Grid area. Youngsters between 10 and 16 are allowed in the following circumstances:

  • Children ages 10-12 must have a parent with them at all times, on the same team. The parent must be included in the paid reservation.
  • Teenagers who are 13-15 must have a chaperone/adult with them in the Grid area or in the lobby. The adult must stay on the premises.
  • On Fridays and Saturdays, starting at 7 pm, all participants must be at least 16 years old. Proof of age may be required.

Some of the challenges are more physical and participants who have balance or joints issues should refrain from attempting them.

Be prepared and dressed to be fairly active. Closed toe shoes are highly recommended while heels, sandals and flip flops are not allowed. Plan on bringing and using one of your team’s smartphones as you are playing. It should be able to read QR codes and have sufficient battery to last the duration of your game.

All bookings are private. There will likely be other teams playing at the same time as yours, but you will never be in any room (other than perhaps the briefing room) with strangers.

Reservations are needed on weekends and on Holidays. We do take walk ins but cannot guarantee that we will be able to give you a start time. Priority always goes to Citizens who have reservations.

All bookings are final so there are no credits/refunds. Here is the best way to make a booking FOR GRID: for every booking you are making (up to 4 or 5 people), book/pay only for 2 people. The 3rd, 4th or 5th person will then pay upon arrival. This way, if someone doesn’t come, you are not out of that money. If you anticipate having 10 people, make only 2 bookings for 2 people each. You would pay for the rest of your group (up to 8 more) upon arrival. Sneaky? No, smart!

BorderTown

BorderTown is District 57’s tactical laser tag area.

We offer a more modern and adult-focused form of laser tag where mission objectives are the goal. It encourages tactics, communications, and a team win mentality. Our equipment is more realistic in nature than the traditional phasers. Scores, statistics, achievements, and ranks are how play value is measured.

Consumption of alcoholic beverages prior to playing BorderTown is not allowed and we also reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone who has had any alcohol prior to participation/arrival.

For public sessions, all players must be at least 16 years old. Private sessions will be open for players as young as 14 with at least 2 parents playing. IDs will be required.

Up to 16 players can tackle BorderTown at the same time. If you don’t book a private session or all 16 spots in a public session, you might be playing with strangers. Our regular price is $30/player.

The fee for a private session is $400 for up to 16 players. For private sessions, players can be as young as 14, as long as there are at least 2 parents playing with the group. As usual, District 57 is strictly 16 and up on Fridays and Saturdays after 7 pm. To book a private session, make sure to select the ‘private’ option when making the booking.

Athletic wear and shoes should be worn and closed toe shoes are mandatory. No flip flops, heels, slide ons or Crocs are allowed. You will get a workout! You will be wearing a vest and a headband for the duration of the game. They are sanitized between use but you can bring a hat or scarf to wear underneath the headband. Please bring or plan on purchasing water. Also, bring an ID.

Because only 16 people can play BorderTown every 90 minutes, reservations are highly recommended.

You should be, because there are strobe lights in BorderTown. However, if you let us know before the start of your game, we can choose a game scenario that will not have any strobe lights.

All bookings are final.
